Early morning on October 13th1307 thousands of men were arrested in all parts of France. It was the beginning of a huge apprehension which instituted a seven year continuing proceeding against the order of temple. The indictment against the order, which had become too mighty, included mainly heresy and treason. After seven years it came to the dissolution of the order and the chief of the order was killed on stake. The riches of the Templars filled the treasury of the French king.
